Steve Germaine Receives Silver Medal 1998 Steve Germaine, Director of Audio Services at Video Arts Studios, has been named Fargo-Moorhead Advertising Federation's 1999 recipient of the distinguished Silver Medal Award. The Silver Medal is presented each year to a member of the F-M advertising community who has distinguished him/herself with outstanding contributions and achievement in the industry. For years, Steve has created music that set the tone for advertising and corporate concepts. His work has received acclaim in such prestigious competition as the Houston International Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival. Steve's work has also been recognized by the American Advertising Federation at the local, regional and national levels. Steve's musical career began as bass player for legendary local rock groups Friendship, Stonehenge and Chalis in the late sixties and early seventies. Later he began Rainbow Productions, a recording studio specializing in jingle production. In 1985 he joined forces with long-time childhood chum Art Phillips to begin building the audio services division of Video Arts Studios. Today, that lone, cramped audio studio has grown into two tapeless, all-digital recording suites. Steve's ideas, creativity and generous spirit have always been an inspiration to clients and co-workers alike. We are all much better for having him in our midst. |
