A Walk on the Wildside

A new project for Bobcat Company, "One Tough Animal", found Video Arts' production crew "on safari" at Wahpeton's Chahinkapa Zoo. While sound man Marty Halgrimson, producer Dan Lien, and Bobcat rep Jim Moore comfortably camped outside a bobcat's cage, cameraman Tom Tollefson found himself lens to cat's eye with the feline. Tom and the bobcat quickly became fast friends, however, once the bobcat realized Tom was a true cat lover (his house is filled with distant cousins), and soon the bobcat was weaving between Tom's legs, purring like a kitten. The resulting footage, shot against temporarily hung green screen, was used for the project's title.
