Queens of the Stone Age Make Music at Video Arts
What do you do when the manager of a famous rock band calls
up and says, "Hey, we want to record some tracks in
Fargo. Can we do it at your place?" The answer from
us was a resounding, "YES!" And so it came to
be that members of the California rock bands, "Queens
of the Stone Age" and "Eagles of Death Metal,"
spent a marathon twelve hours in our state-of-the-art recording
studio. The bands, led by Josh Homme, arrived on Monday,
July 30th with an audio engineer who had flown in from Los
Angeles especially for this project. You may be wondering,
why did Homme and band mate, Jesse Hughes, want to record
at Video Arts in Fargo? The duo says they wanted the flavor
of playing in small market recording studios to seep into
their music. And since we have one of the premiere recording
and sound studios in the Midwest, Homme and Hughes say it
was a no-brainer to pick us.
"This was an exciting project
for us to be able to provide our recording services for
a nationally recognized musical act," says Steve. Boise
and Fargo were the only cities "Queens of the Stone
Age" chose to record in. The fact that they chose us
was flattering but also shows our commitment to providing
high quality recording service and experience. "The
Queens chose to spend their one night off in between shows
at Video Arts, and we are honored they did," Steve
says. ROCK ON Josh and Jesse!
